Rane has lived in Tucson for quite some time and is a Wildcat through and through.Although she swam and ran track as a youngster, it wasn’t until her late 20s that she got serious about athletics. The triathlon and marathon bug bit pretty hard and she spent over20 years coaching, training, and racing all three disciplines. Favorite memories include racing Ironman Cozumel, Boston Marathon, and the La Jolla Roughwater Gatorman Swim.
Wanting to try something different, Rane discovered GTX and loved the variety of the BootCamp, Kettlebell, and Crossfit movements. The rower also provided relief to tired knees afteryears of running, and she now coaches most of the GTX rowing classes.
Rane’s coaching background includes Masters Swim Coach at Ford Aquatics and Men’sSwim Team Head Coach at Flowing Wells High School. Her UA Masters degree in Athletic Administration included a six-month internship at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
She is a Crossfit Level 1 Trainer and one of her passions is inspiring masters athletes, via fitness, who are going through changes in life including menopause and empty nest syndrome (she is a recent empty nester and knows how hard it can be!).
